Susie R.,
I definitely sympathize with the delay with the auto accident. I was in one a little over two years ago and the rehab, etc. and weight gain following that is why I decided to have the lapband. I too have had steroids, as recently as this past November. In 4 weeks, I gained 6 pounds. I'm sure without the band it would have been even worse.
So, you've had some good reasons to not get the fills and an uncontrollable weight gain. Now that you are better, it sounds like it may be time to focus on your band and getting your fills. Lots of us have had things happen that have caused a detour, but it doesn't have to stop you in your tracks.
You got the surgery for a reason, now you let it work for you. The band without fills is not effective and you can't really say it is working until you get good restriction.
We are here to support you and give any advice that we can. Hope you get that next fill and continue to improve to where you can exercise.
