What is the point of going through the surgery again to get the band
removed? If you think it's not working now it won't be any different
if you get it removed. Why put your body through another surgery? Just
leave it in for now. It won't hurt you even if you don't do anything
with it. I'm sure the steroids are the main reason for your gain. I'm
so sorry about your accident but thank God you are still here to tell
your story. This is just a "bump" in your journey. If you need to take
some time away from the band to deal with other things right now it's
ok. You are NOT a failure! Work on healing and start the band journey
again later when the time is right. I just say leave it in for now.
you can always go back later and start your fills again if you want
to. It's designed to be left in long term so it won't hurt you to
leave it alone for now. Good luck on your journey and I hope you get
to feeling better soon. I'll keep you in my prayers.
