gjones: Hi. I may need to jump in here. After 3 fills, I had good restriction BUT then rather than emptying capsules taken at night into applesauce--because they are big and taste icky--I just swallowed them. Okay, this caused me to not be able to even drink except tiny sips of water the next day. After 3 days of not being able to eat without sliming and uploading, I called the dr. They said I was having 'complications' and to get in asap. I did. Anyway, I ended up having 1.4 cc saline taken out. It was immediate relief. It seems that the lg. pills can go down but then MAY end up stuck causing gastric juices from lg. stomach to have to come up through the stoma to finally dissolve the pills. This causes irritation to the stoma, the pouch stomach to become swollen and some very sick feelings. I have learned my lesson--no matter how bad something tastes in powder form or crushed, I will not take if larger than an eraser. I go back for a fill
next week and I will be so glad to have some restriction again but not like it was. Hopefully this will take me to the next level. I did have 7.4 in 10cc band. Now have 6.0
