I am 5 weeks post-op and have pain in two very specific areas only if I do certain
movements, and I believe it is from muscle weakness from pre-op movement patterns.
Other than that, and a dull ache around my scar if I sit too much, I have no pain.
On the other hand, I didn't have all that much pain pre-op, which I managed because I
reduced my activity level to only things that didn't hurt - swimming and lying around,
pretty darn boring. So comparatively, I have about the same amount of pain now, if I'm
honest. It's just different pain, and comes from healing and strengthening.
I second the suggestions to contact the surgeon and have him check this out. And please
PLEASE keep us informed about what you learn. I really hope it turns out to be just normal
post-op pain. Let us know how this resolves.
Best of luck,
Sumati
