I had my hip done by De Smet in December. With over 3,000 done, I would say he
probably has experience with just about everything. I am in RI, and yes, the travel back
(over Newark, with a 4 1/2 hour wait there) was grueling, but not painful. Then you sleep
for couple of days and you are fine again.
Dr. Bose is also an excellent surgeon, and I was very impressed with him as a human
being in our email exchanged and everything I have heard about him. Here's a blog about

Both of them give free email consultations. Have you also considered anyone local? We
don't have a big choice here in New England, but there are a few.
Both De Smet and Bose are excellent choices.
