I have AVN in both Hips, in addition, the shoulders/knees/
year, at this time, I sent my MRI/X-rays to Dr Mont. He recommended a
Bone Graft or Resurfacing on one Hip and Core Decompressions on the
Knees/Shoulders and other Hip.
The one hip was too far along for a Graft, so now I have a resurfaced
hip. Mont asks you for a % between going ahead with the Graft versus
Resurfacing. When he gets in there, if he thinks a Graft is going to
be successful 80/50/20% of the time, what do you want him to do?
I had both hips worked on in one day (resurfacing & core) and six days
later, he cored the knees and shoulders. So far so good.
Mont will look over your MRI/X-Ray for free (about a month after you
send them). He is one of the AVN gurus and a top resurface dude.
Definitely worth the time.
