Thank you so much for sharing Dr De Smet's insights. Yes, my life
would be easier if there were a magic pill to stop deterioration of my
"better hip". However, as H. L. Mencken said "every complex problem
has a simple solution which is very logical but wrong." I guess I
have grown used to the fact that good health requires complex
multi-faceted strategies.
My surgery (Gross L BioMet) is scheduled for Feb 13th. I plan to do
or avoid whatever I can to reduce the probability of another hip
repair. If that means no ice skating or mountain biking, well so be it.
