hey michelle, i have been making and selling bath/body products and
candles, blending fragrances from fragrance oils and essential oils
(and sometimes both) for 15 years and never needed a chemist ;-)
if you use certain essential oils, like rosemary, you need to put a
caution on the product. in the case of rosemary, pregnant women
shouldn't use any product with rosemary in it. you can google and find
a list of e.o. warnings.
you need a business license, but otherwise, as long as you are
following labeling rules and such, you are just fine.
