Sounds like we had the same policy. I do think their purpose is
education. My visits with the nutritionist were pretty pointless, it
was all stuff I've learned on the dozens of diets I've been on in my
life. I really didn't follow her diet at all, and I don't think she
cared. I lost no weight during that period and didn't really try.
However when it came time for the pre-op diet, I followed the diet to
the T, and lost 27 lbs in 9 days. So, my thing was that I wanted to be
safe for the surgery, but the nutritionist visits really didn't do
much for me. Good luck!!!!
