Hi Michelle & All,
Well the easy answer is that depends on where you live. We produce in
Bali, Indonesia and we are supposed to have a chemist on the payroll.
We are also quite small and are classified as home industry so to pay
a chemist is a bit excessive and we really dont need it at this point.
What we do though, is every composition that we register with the
local authorities we do need to have them signed off and approved by a
chemist. Our chemist is an Indonesian woman friend of mine from
another company we work with. She always says that i know more than
her, hehehe, but to fulfill the local authorities regulations she is
our chemist on file and is the responsible party regarding a final
composition.
If you are in the states I can't imagine that to be true. But check,
it could be. Anyone know the rules for the states??? Hope this helps,
Michael
Have a great day,
