It is okay that you chose not to follow the band rules but you have to realize that the weight loss will be slowed. The first part of this journey is always the hardest because more is on you but as you get restriction then more is on the band. It is a a two fold situation and as an adult you can chose to do as much as you want. Just remember that the band is a tool to help but will not do it all. We have all been there and know how hard that it is. We all dieted before getting the band and continued to "diet" to a certain extent after the band but the band just helped us tolerate it better. Everyone's journey is different but I hope you get your restriction soon.
